Save Money Shaving Using Van Der Hagen Double-Edged Razors (Safety Razor)

I have been using a double-edged (aka., safety razor) blade from Van Der Hagen.  The blades are similar to what my grandfathers used.  I feel that this gives a closer shave and reduces razor burns, bumps and infections.  This is because there is only one blade edge making contact with your skin, instead of 2 blades, or 3, or even 4 or 5 blades.  The unit price on the blades are half, or even less, less than cartridge blades.

 

The razor and blades take up less space than conventional razors and the only thing that you dispose is the 1/2 square-inch blaze.  I feel more satisfied as a result because of a smooth shave and less costs associated with using the product.  You can click on the links below to buy either product or just search other products on the link.

I usually use this mobile app for shopping at my local grocery stores such as Giant and Aldi. Frankly, I love the app and use it every time I shop to get some extra cash using the rebate.  The app can be used at Walmart as well.  I estimate for as little shopping that I do that I will get back about $300 of cash from this one mobile app in one year!  If you want this app, just download it from the Apple App Store, or your preferred mobile phone.

ibotta Mobile Cash Back Rebate App.

ibotta is a mobile app. that you can use to get cash back rebates on select grocery stores (Giant, Aldi, Safeway) and mass merchants (Walmart).   I have used the ibotta app for several months now and have accumulated around $50.00 USD for just shopping.  You have to select a product / item in the app, scan a receipt and scan the bar code of the product to get cash back.  The turnaround on processing the cash back rebate is 1-2 days and the cash can be wired to your PayPal account.  A cool little way to make some quick cash!

Another way to make a quick buck, is to buy bottled water and sell it at a marked up value at a tailgate or event.
